Baseball Recap: North Posey Takes a Loss

North Posey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to Barr-Reeve. North Posey was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Barr-Reeve apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Remington Johnson was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Johnson wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ben Freeman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

North Posey's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Barr-Reeve, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Looking ahead, North Posey will take on Jasper at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Barr-Reeve has already played their next matchup (against Edgewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
