Softball Recap: Sunlake Takes a Loss

Sunlake lost to Wharton back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Seahawks came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-3.

Sunlake saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Ward, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Sunlake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wharton, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunlake will host Cypress Creek at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wharton, they will welcome Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
