Recap: Whitehouse Wildcats vs. Longview Lobos
The Whitehouse Wildcats lost against the Longview Lobos on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Whitehouse had to suffer through a rough 65-27 loss at the hands of the Lobos. While losing is never fun, Whitehouse can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 856th, while the Lobos are ranked 85th).
Longview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Head, who scored six points along with six assists and six rebounds. Robert Blandburg was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Whitehouse dropped their record down to 7-18 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Longview, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 26-3.
Whitehouse will head out on the road to square off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Longview, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Texas is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
