Baseball Game Preview: Chimacum Cowboys vs. Forks Spartans

The Chimacum Cowboys will head out to challenge the Forks Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Chimacum didn't have quite enough to beat North Mason and fell 12-11. The loss continues a trend for the Cowboys in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, while Forks put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Chief Leschi. Forks put the hurt on Chief Leschi with a sharp 16-0 victory. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Chimacum now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Forks, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Chimacum beat Forks 8-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chimacum since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
