Football Recap: Brady Starts Season with Victory Against Young Men's Leadership Academy

Brady had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 60-0 victory over Young Men's Leadership Academy. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brady was led to victory by Sean Jacoby and Ashton Taylor. Jacoby rushed for 116 yards and three TDs, while Taylor rushed for 130 yards and a pair of scores. Those 116 rushing yards gave Jacoby a new career-high. Ethan Bernal also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brady was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in ten consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brady will head out to face off against Mason at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against John F. Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
