Baseball Recap: Cinnaminson Pirates vs. Haddon Township Hawks

After flying high against Camden County Vo-Tech on Wednesday, Cinnaminson came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Haddon Township Hawks on Friday, falling 12-5. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Willie Ruiz and Matt Dever stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ruiz went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Dever went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Ryan Reichert also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Cinnaminson's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Haddon Township, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Cinnaminson will challenge Pennsauken at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Haddon Township, they will take on West Deptford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
