Football Game Preview: Charlottesville Black Knights vs. Louisa County Lions

Charlottesville hasn't had much luck against Louisa County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Black Knights will welcome the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Charlottesville has given up an average of 30.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Charlottesville came up short against Albemarle on Thursday, falling 40-20.

Meanwhile, Louisa County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Fluvanna County, posting a 56-15 win. That 41 point margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.

Louisa County's win came from a few key players Charlottesville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Levi Wilson, who threw for 123 yards and two TDs on perfect 6-for-6 passing, and also rushed for 47 yards. Louisa County's leading receiver Dyzier Carter was Wilson's top target yet again, picking up 83 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Louisa County's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Charlottesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Charlottesville took a serious blow against Louisa County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 49-14. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Black Knights were down 49-0.
