Volleyball Game Preview: River Islands Riptide vs. Edison Vikings

The River Islands Riptide will face off against the Edison Vikings at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as River Islands comes in on four and Edison on eight.

Last Tuesday, River Islands made easy work of Vanguard College Prep and carried off a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant River Islands was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Edison got the win against Chavez on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Edison not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Chavez between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.

Edison pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for River Islands, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
