Basketball Recap: Vienna Piles Up the Points Against Tuscumbia

Vienna won the last time they faced Tuscumbia and things went their way on Monday too. The Vienna Eagles claimed a resounding 73-46 victory over the Tuscumbia Lions.

Vienna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Teagan James, who went 8 for 18 en route to 18 points along with five assists and five boards. James also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Vienna is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 8-10 otherwise. Alex Zimmer was another key player, going 9 of 19 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds.

Vienna now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Tuscumbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vienna will square off against Fatima at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tuscumbia, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
