Baseball Recap: Walhalla Victorious

It's playoff time, and Walhalla had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Woodruff Wolverines 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Razorbacks: when they faced off against the Wolverines on Tuesday, they had to take a 8-1 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Nate Johnson, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Phillips, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Walhalla and bumps their season record up to 17-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Woodruff, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-9.

As of now, neither Walhalla nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
