Basketball Recap: Bluff City Gray Wolves vs. St. George's Gryphons
A victory for Bluff City just wasn't in the cards on Monday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They had to suffer through a 61-12 loss at the hands of the St. George's Gryphons.
St. George's found their leader in freshman Carson Crump, who went 5 for 9 en route to 14 points plus two steals. Crump is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Silas Jones, who earned four points plus five steals.
Bluff City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. George's, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluff City will square off against Kirby at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. George's, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Benedict at Auburndale at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th.
