Football Recap: Irondequoit Comes Up Short at Home Against Eastridge

Irondequoit unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were just a hair shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 26-25 to the Eastridge Lancers.

A big part of Eastridge's win came down to the chemistry between Sadie O'Neill and her top target Madyson Fizer. O'Neill threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.1% of her passes while Fizer picked up 230 receiving yards and three TDs. That's the most passing touchdowns O'Neill has posted since back in April.

Eastridge now has a winning record of 5-4-2.

Irondequoit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastridge, they will take on Webster Thomas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
