Softball Recap: Silas Takes a Loss

Silas fell victim to Peninsula and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Seahawks, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 7-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Silas and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Peninsula, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Silas will square off against River Ridge at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Peninsula, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Tahoma at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.86 runs per game on average), something the Seahawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
