Basketball Recap: Iowa Colony Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Iowa Colony Pioneers came up short against the Friendswood Mustangs and fell 66-59.

Iowa Colony's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 17-9. As for Friendswood, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Iowa Colony is taking a road trip to challenge Texas City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Friendswood, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against La Porte at 7:00 p.m. La Porte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.6 points per game this season.
