Lynden and Burlington-Edison are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Lions will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lynden hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Lynden lost 10-1 to Sedro-Woolley on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over Ferndale on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Cody Roetcisoender, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jakson Granger, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Burlington-Edison's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Lynden, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Lynden was able to grind out a solid win over Burlington-Edison in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
