Softball Recap: West Aurora Takes a Loss

If West Aurora was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Elgin on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blackhawks lost 9-3 to the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers on Tuesday. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

West Aurora has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

West Aurora is taking a road trip to take on Glenbard South at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Seneca at 4:30 p.m.
