Basketball Recap: Wall Piles Up the Points Against Chamberlain

Wall won against Bennett County last Saturday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Wall Eagles took their game with ease, bagging a 67-35 victory over the Chamberlain Cubs. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Wall to victory were Emmet Dinger and Teelan Kjerstad. Dinger went 8 for 13 on his way to 20 points in addition to six boards and five assists, while Kjerstad went 8 of 14 en route to 18 points and three steals. Kjerstad's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Younger Amiotte, who posted nine points and four steals.

Wall smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Wall pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.5 points. As for Chamberlain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Wall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 91-54 victory against Lead-Deadwood on the 18th. As for Chamberlain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-35 win against Bon Homme on the 18th.
