Milpitas entered their tilt with Pioneer on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Mustangs. Milpitas wouldn't have won without Sergio Salamanca, who scored the game-winner.

The win got Milpitas back to even at 3-3. As for Pioneer, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-2.

Milpitas and Pioneer will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Trojans see the pitch they'll take on Cupertino at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026. As for Pioneer, their break will end when they face Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2026.
