Football Recap: Drew Diaz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mt. St. Michael Academy over Holy Trinity

Mt. St. Michael Academy lost against Holy Trinity back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mountaineers fell 26-19 to the Titans. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Diaz, who threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns.

Mt. St. Michael Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Holy Trinity, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. St. Michael Academy will host Xaverian at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Holy Trinity, they will be playing at home against St. Dominic at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The contest will give the Titans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
