Baseball Preview: Palmetto Panthers vs. South Dade Buccaneers

Palmetto and South Dade are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Panthers will challenge the Buccaneers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. South Dade took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Palmetto, who comes in off a win.

Palmetto not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th. Everything went their way against TERRA Environmental as they made off with a 7-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Brayden Arrick tossed a big game, pitching 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jack Gordon was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Palmetto is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-15 otherwise. Johnny Montes was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
