Softball Recap: Fontainebleau Comes Up Short

Fontainebleau was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-6 to Haynes Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 6-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

McKinley Mardis was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Caroline Butscher was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Fontainebleau's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Fontainebleau didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-6 loss against Springfield on the 27th. As for Haynes Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Destrehan on the 28th.
