Recap: Booker T. Washington Warriors vs. Hamilton Wildcats

The Booker T. Washington Warriors lost against the Hamilton Wildcats back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Booker T. Washington took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hamilton.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was LeAnna Carpenter, who scored ten points. Cariyonna Banks was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Hamilton found their leader in underclassman Amare Boothe, who scored 30 points. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Boothe has scored at least a third of Hamilton's points.

Booker T. Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Hamilton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middle College at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. Middle College will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Hamilton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Memphis Business Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Memphis Business Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 234 points over their last three matches.
