Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin suffered their closest defeat since May 20, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers by a score of 5-3. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountaineers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2018.

Franklin now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Wachusett Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Franklin is taking a road trip to face off against North Quincy at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wachusett Regional, they will face off against Algonquin Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
