Volleyball Recap: Caston Comes Up Short

Caston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Caston took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-8, 21-25, 25-18, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Caston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ellie Zartman had nine assists and six digs.

Caston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their win bumped their record up to 12-14.

Caston has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against LaVille on the 4th. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Knox on the 1st.
