Preview: Chevak Comets vs. Unalakleet Wolfpack
Chevak has been on the road for six straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. The Chevak Comets and the Unalakleet Wolfpack will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Saturday, Chevak faced Hooper Bay in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Chevak was the victim of a rough 65-39 loss at the hands of Hooper Bay. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chevak has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Unalakleet lost to Homer at home by a decisive 62-45 margin on Saturday. Unalakleet has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chevak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Unalakleet, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
