Baseball Game Preview: Vina Red Devils vs. Tharptown Wildcats

The Vina Red Devils will face off against the Tharptown Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Tharptown took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Vina, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Vina got the win against Cherokee by a conclusive 19-4. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Tharptown had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 10-0 to Wilson on Thursday.

Vina now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tharptown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Vina couldn't quite get it done against Tharptown in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 as they fell 7-2. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
