Softball Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Greenway Demons, falling 22-1. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 18-3 to the Demons when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Greenway, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoria will take on Poston Butte at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Peoria is facing Poston Butte at the right time seeing as Poston Butte is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Greenway, they will square off against Cactus at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Greenway's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
