Volleyball Recap: Churchland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Churchland lost against Lakeland back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Truckers lost 3-0 to the Cavaliers. The Truckers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Churchland was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-13.

Aiyana Samuels paced Churchland's offense, picking up five kills. Samuels got some help from Ajia Brown and her eight assists. Samuels was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Churchland's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Lakeland, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Coming up, Churchland will be playing at home against Norcom at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeland, they are taking a road trip to challenge Deep Creek at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
