Baseball Recap: Carencro Comes Up Short

Carencro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 9-5 to the Acadiana Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on Tuesday.

Caden Cormier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Ethan Burrows was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Carencro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Acadiana, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-14.

Looking ahead, Carencro will square off against Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Acadiana, they will take on Erath at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
