Softball Recap: Drury Comes Up Short

Hoosac Valley hit Drury with a eight-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Devils lost 17-5 to the Hurricanes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 back in April.

Drury saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Perry, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-2.

Drury's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hoosac Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Drury will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Everett Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hoosac Valley, they will welcome McCann Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
