Football Game Preview: Oak Harbor Wildcats vs. North Kitsap Vikings + Official Tickets

The Oak Harbor Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the North Kitsap Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Harbor has given up an average of 37.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oak Harbor is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Snohomish on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 46-21. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacob Espinoza put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, North Kitsap came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points), and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Spartans 24-21. 24 seems to be a good number for the Vikings as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Oak Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for North Kitsap, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Oak Harbor came out on top in a nail-biter against North Kitsap in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 20-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
