League recap: Walker throws longest pass in league this season for Southside Christian

John Walker and Parker Howard provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Ware Shoals. The connection was good for 72 yards, the longest such play in A Region II this season.

Christ Church Episcopal extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Calhoun Falls Charter, 48-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Southside Christian's dynamic duo of Walker and Howard proved tough for the Fighting Hornets to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Walker threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns and Howard had 148 yards receiving. Justin Best helped Southside Christian's passing attack out by catching six balls for 52 yards.

Colby Boggs made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Sabres lost to Ware Shoals. The junior grabbed one interception.

Sam Miller was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 64 yards on 12 carries as Whitmire fell to Lance Abernathy's team. Devon Simmons also contributed to the rushing game with three yards on the ground.

Steve Lockwood's team's Walker and Boggs have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A Region II in both passing and receiving yards. Walker has thrown for 1485 yards this season, while Boggs has 42 catches for 566 yards. The Wolverines' Miller leads the league in rushing yards with 174.

Christ Church Episcopal took down the Blue Flashes 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
