Basketball Recap: Luxemburg-Casco Comes Up Short

Luxemburg-Casco was the 41-40 winner over Freedom when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans took a 41-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Freedom Irish on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while the Irish are ranked 139th).

Luxemburg-Casco's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Freedom, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Looking ahead, Luxemburg-Casco will square off against Mishicot at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Freedom, they will challenge Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom is facing Pulaski at the right time seeing as Pulaski is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
