Basketball Recap: Manor New Tech Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Manor New Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 63-59 victory over the Bastrop Bears on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Bastrop saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jamarion Aldridge-Hopes shot 64% from the field on his way to 20 points. Those 64% shooting accuracy set a new season-high mark for Aldridge-Hopes. Brent Carter was another key player, putting up six points and eight boards.

Manor New Tech now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bastrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Manor New Tech will take on Giddings in a tournament on Thursday. As for Bastrop, they will be taking part in a tournament against Schulenburg at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday.
