Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Highland

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kirksville, Highland was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-52 win over the Canton Tigers. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 496th, while the Tigers are ranked 64th).

The win snapped Highland's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-10 record. As for Canton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Highland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Canton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
