Recap: Community Charter vs. Triumph Charter
If the Community Charter Titans were riding high off their 26-0 takedown of the CHAMPS Panthers last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Community Charter took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Triumph Charter on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 26 goals in the game before, Community Charter couldn't push the score so high this time.
Their goal came courtesy of
Jeffery Contreras, who's now up to 26 this season.
Community Charter's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2-3. As for Triumph Charter, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Charter is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Middle College at 3:00 p.m. on February 7th. Middle College is coming into the game with four straight wins at home, meaning Community Charter will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. As for Triumph Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against Vaughn at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Vaughn's favor is that they have posted big goal totals in their last three matches.
