Volleyball Recap: Woodridge Comes Up Short at Home Against Marlington + How To Watch

Woodridge unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Marlington Dukes on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Woodridge was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-10, 25-20.

Bree Landon paced Woodridge's offense, picking up four kills. Landon got some help from Chelsey Taylor and her nine assists. Allyson Lorenz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Woodridge has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Manchester on the 20th. As for Marlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Twinsburg on the 21st.
