Soccer Game Preview: Columbia vs. New Hope

Columbia is 0-5 against New Hope since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Columbia Eagles will face off against the New Hope Indians at 5:00 p.m. Columbia has given up an average of 12 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Columbia is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game two weeks ago. They came up short against Athens, falling 21-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, New Hope was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of Hokes Bluff by a score of 2-1.

New Hope's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Columbia suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to New Hope when the teams last played back in February. Can Columbia avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
