Basketball Recap: Dumas Comes Up Short

Dumas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. The game between the Demons and the Perryton Rangers didn't end well, with the Demons falling 51-33. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since January 30, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Dumas' record now sits at 7-19. As for Perryton, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-17.

Dumas and Perryton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Demons will face off against Randall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (852 vs. 345). Meanwhile, Perryton (ranked 640th) will meet Canyon (ranked 11th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
