Volleyball Recap: Parkway North Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Parkway North needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight matches and they got it from Hannah Schrumpf. Everything went the Vikings' way against the Hazelwood East Spartans on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Schrumpf, who had 20 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

While Parkway North won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-19.

Parkway North's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Hazelwood East, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-12-1.

Parkway North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Parkway Central on the 24th. Hazelwood East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
