Brookland had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They escaped with a win on Monday against the Pocahontas Redskins by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Redskins back in January, they had to take a 61-48 loss.

Brookland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amelia Ford led the charge by dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Ford a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Cossey, who posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.

Brookland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Brookland's victory bumped their record up to 9-20. As for Pocahontas, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

As of now, neither Brookland nor the Redskins have any future games scheduled.
