Volleyball Recap: Klein Collins' Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Klein Collins came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Tomball Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Klein Collins ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-20.

Gemma Hopkins was the offensive standout of the game as she had 12 digs and five assists.

With the defeat, Klein Collins broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2. As for Tomball, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Coming up, Klein Collins is taking a road trip to square off against Barbers Hill at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Tomball, they will square off against New Caney at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
