Baseball Recap: Kentlake Snags 11th Victory in Last 13 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Kentlake walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Mountain View Thunder on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted since March 22nd.

JT Futch and Noah Adams did most of the damage at the plate: Futch went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Adams went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those three hits gave Futch a new career-high.

Kentlake has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

As of now, neither Kentlake nor the Thunder have any future games scheduled.
