Volleyball Game Preview: Lyons Lions vs. Glenbrook South Titans + How To Watch

The Lyons Lions will take on the Glenbrook South Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lyons will be strutting in after a victory while Glenbrook South will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lyons challenged Proviso West on Tuesday. The Lions came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lyons took both sets by at least 19 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-6.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Glenbrook South's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Maine South by a score of 2-1. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 25-9 in the first set.

Glenbrook South actually scored more points across those three sets (60-59), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 9-25, 25-21, 25-14.

Lyons has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Glenbrook South, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.
