Football Recap: Kavion Brown and Curtis Scriven Secure Win for Gulf + How To Watch

Gulf had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Countryside on Friday. The Buccaneers blew past the Cougars 34-14. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won three matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Gulf was led to victory by Curtis Scriven and Kavion Brown. Scriven threw for 147 yards and three TDs, while Brown rushed for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Brown has become a key player for the Buccaneers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Although Countryside took the loss, they still got scores from Ricky Kongsine and Ethan Maroudis.

Gulf now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Countryside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
