Basketball Recap: Alcester-Hudson Takes a Loss

Alcester-Hudson played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Freeman Flyers, falling 59-24. The Cubs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-8.

Freeman was led to victory by Rylee Peters and Cadence Hofer. Peters dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds, while Hofer went 9 for 14 en route to 19 points. Peters' evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton McCune, who posted 11 points and seven assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Alcester-Hudson and nudges their season record down to 3-14. As for Freeman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.

Alcester-Hudson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-33 loss against Beresford on the 8th. As for Freeman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-28 victory against Hanson on the 11th.
