Softball Recap: Everett Alvarez Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Everett Alvarez's offense. They came up short against the Aptos Mariners on Saturday, falling 7-0. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Everett Alvarez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Contreras, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Everett Alvarez now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Aptos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Everett Alvarez will head out to take on Wilcox at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aptos, they will venture away from home to face off against North Monterey County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
