Gloucester has gone a perfect 7-0 against Heritage recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dukes will look to defend their home pitch against the Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Gloucester is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hickory just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They and the Hawks finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. The result kept Gloucester happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 22nd.

Their goal came courtesy of Ryan Williams, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Heritage came up short against Warwick on Thursday and fell 3-1. Heritage have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gloucester's draw gives them a new season record of 13-1-1. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Gloucester took their victory against Heritage in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Dukes repeat their success, or do the Hurricanes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
