The Trinity Shamrocks will square off against the Middletown Blue Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.3 points per game this season.

Trinity is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Susquehanna Township just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 24-14 to the HANNA. While losing is never fun, the Shamrocks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the HANNA are ranked 42nd).

Despite the defeat, Trinity had strong showings from Maddox Jarzynski, who picked up 89 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and Mason Boyer, who threw for 89 yards and two TDs.

Meanwhile, Middletown was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Big Spring 20-17. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Raiders.

Middletown found their leader in sophomore Harrison Ortiz, who threw for 181 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Ortiz's passing game has become a key predictor of the Blue Raiders' success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise. Luis Roman handled things on the ground, rushing for 101 yards.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Middletown, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Trinity against Middletown when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-21 victory. In that game, the Shamrocks amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
