             Palmdale and Highland are an even 5-5 against one another  since October of 2014, but  not for long. The Palmdale Falcons will venture away from home to  face off against the Highland Bulldogs  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Palmdale's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  in their last four matchups.
 Palmdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They blew past Eastside 65-6  on Thursday. Considering the Falcons have won five games by more than 20  points this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Palmdale's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   James Lenaris, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave  Lenaris a new career-high in  rushing yards.  Joseph Mason was another key player, rushing for 24 yards and a touchdown.
 Palmdale didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Zason Walker,  Mason,  Raymond Gomez,  and  Paul Turner picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile,  after a string of five wins, Highland's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They fell just short of Lancaster by a score of  17-14.
 Palmdale now  has a winning record of 5-4. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.
 Palmdale was taken down by Highland 67-13 in their previous matchup  back in October of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Highland's  Justin Wyatt Jr., who threw for 139 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
